The NYPD on Sunday released photos of a trio of suspects wanted for violently robbing three women in Manhattan in the space of just 15 minutes.
The suspects — all wearing black hoods and with their faces covered — are accused of flinging all three victims to the ground starting around 8:20 p.m. Tuesday on the Upper West Side and continuing on the Upper East Side.
The suspects — one also wearing a “Detroit” hat and caught staring straight at an elevator security camera — hopped in and out of a gray Toyota Camry with the New Jersey plate P73JPY to cross the city, police said.
Officers had already linked the two East Side muggings but now believe the same men attacked a 50-year-old woman on West End Avenue near West 61st Street earlier, stealing her purse with credit cards.
Ten minutes after the West Side attack, the trio knocked a 38-year-old woman to the ground on East 65th Street and Third Avenue, stealing her bag and Samsung Note 3 cellphone, police said.
Just 5 minutes later — a total of 15 minutes after the first attack — they also mugged a 25-year-old woman as she walked her dog at East 65th Street and York Avenue, stealing her purse, police said.
“In each incident, the individuals approached the victims from behind and pushed them to the ground before removing their property,” the NYPD said.
The three victims escaped serious injury and refused medical attention, police said.
